Since the end of 1980s, then Central Committee, the Party and the State Council have approved 53 State High & New Technology Industry Development Zone to carry out the great policy of “to develop high technology and industrialize it” by Deng Xiaoping and to speed up the development of High & New technology. BAODING is one of these 53 zones.

Until now, the Department of Science and Technology of Hebei Province has approved 93 high-tech enterprises and 106 high-tech products. One of those firms is listed in the notional “863 program”, which carries out high-technology research and development.

Moreover, 14 national projects and 12 provincial projects, part of Hebei province’s “China Torch Program”, designed to develop high and new technology industries together with more than 80 scientific and technology achievements have been transferred.

The policy also contributes to strengthening the economic landscape of Baoding City, which is a center of influence on the formation of Chinese industry including new materials, electronic information, integration of machinery and electricity, biological engineering, food industries and others.

Public infrastructure in Baoding High and New Technology Industry Development Zone has been greatly improved with the aim of providing favorable environment for investment. The infrastructure facilities such as road, water supply, power and gas supply, drainage and communication have been fully completed in the initial area.
