More than 900 enterprises have entered the zone, including 100 enterprises of private-ownership, foreign-ownership and Sino-foreign joint venture. The Zone has produced industrial productive value accumulating to 36.1 billion RMB, financial revenue 760 million RMB, and made investment in foreign currency attaining 450 million USD.

There are nearly thousand enterprises in Baoding High-Tech Zone at present, including more than 100 foreign-invested enterprises, featuring six distinguishing industries of new energy and energy equipment, software, power transmission and power automation, new material, bio- pharmaceuticals and food processing.

Baoding High-Tech Zone was awarded the honorable title of “New Energy and Energy Equipment Industrial Base Under the China Torch Program” on April 10, 2003 by the State Ministry of Science and Technology. Due to its priority to the development of the industries of solar cell power generation, wind power generating equipment, new-type energy accumulative material, electronic electricity and power system automation, power transmission and transforming equipment and high-efficient energy-saving equipment, etc., the conspicuous development in certain scale has been formed.

There are more than 50 manufacturing enterprises involved in new energy and energy equipment in the base at present, 24 high-tech enterprises appraised by the provincial scientific and technological department including one key high-tech enterprise, and 20 projects Implemented under the China Torch Program including 11 national-level Torch Program projects . In order to implement the resolution on the development of the characteristic industrial base initiated by the Science and Technology Ministry, the administrative committee of Baoding High-Tech Zone has specially worked out the preferential policy for the promotion of the development of new energy and energy equipment industries.

Owing to the long-term business cooperation with Hebei Scientific And Technological Risk Investment Co., Ltd., the service platform for risk investment has been established between the risk investment companies and enterprises.

Based on cooperation with the Baoding branch of the Chinese Construction Bank and Baoding branch of Bank of China, the cooperative agreement has been singed with Baoding branch of the Chinese Construction Bank in order to provide the multifarious and high-quality financial service for the enterprises in Baoding High-tech Zone.

Science and technology development funds have been established specially for supporting the enterprises in the zone to tackle the key scientific and technological difficulties

In order to create the best business environment for the enterprises entered, Torch Industrial Park has been established in Baoding high-tech Zone, providing many factory buildings for enterprises to purchase or lease.
